Reduced LA Shelter Fees this Thanksgiving

It is no secret that the pet rescue shelters in Los Angeles, CA are typically packed with dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens that need more. Often times, if you find a dog on the street and opt to be a good samaritan and bring them to the shelter, you will be told that if they process this dog, it will mean another dog from the shelter's life. It is heartbreaking to hear this, especially for an animal lover who is just trying to do the right thing.

Pets are expensive, but they give you a forever friend who will be there for you when nobody else is. They give you comfort, love, and happiness. When you rescue a pet, you get the joy of knowing that you saved a life. I take that back, you didn't just save a life, you TRANSFORMED someone's life from being unwanted and unloved to finally knowing what unconditional love is. That's what you get by rescuing a pet from the shelter... unconditional love. Now who exactly doesn't want that?!

So to not break the bank, during the holiday season especially, there are times where large donations are made to the shelters and the fees are reduced or waived completely!

This Saturday, November 30 through Sunday, December 1, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., bring home the joy of saving someone's life and meet your new best friend with reduced shelter fees! (Also keep in mind that when you rescue or foster a shelter pet, not only do you save their life but free space and resources up for another pet who is in need!)

Adoption fees for dogs are $51 (not including $20 license); puppies: $75; cats: $12.50; and kittens: $25. If you can't adopt, consider fostering a pet.
